How are you settling into your new Cedar Spring Dallas apartments? We hope you’re managing to turn your new place into a place that feels like home, but we understand that can take some time. We’d like to help move the process along, however, which is why we’ve decided to dedicate our first ever blog to the idea of decorating your apartment. Specifically, we’ll be talking about adding holiday decor to your space.
We’ll start by telling you that holiday decor doesn’t have to be all about tinsel and blinking lights. There’s more to the holidays than red ornaments and green trees. In the blog post below, we’ll explain what we mean. In the process, we hope to help you get excited about decorating your place for the holidays!
Let’s get right to the latest blog post from The Dylan, shall we? Oh, and when you’re done reading through the blog post below, please be sure to share this post with your friends and neighbors at your community of Oak Lawn Dallas apartments.
Don’t forget that candles count as decor.
Most people think of decorating for the holidays as a visual endeavor, but let’s not forget about the scents that should be filling your living space. You can never have enough scented candles this time of year, especially when they smell like white pine, pinecones or eggnog. Take a trip to the candle store and let yourself go wild!
Pay close attention the windowsills.
We love that cozy feeling you get when you’re curled up in your holiday-themed apartment. That being said, you can get a better feeling by looking at your decorated apartment from the outside. When you come home and see those windows lit up with holiday decor, you’ll see what we mean.
Keep it natural.
There’s only one type of holiday decor that never looks tacky and goes with any color scheme. We’re talking, of course, about plants and flowers. This holiday season, make it a point to add poinsettias, mistletoe and holly to your apartment. If you want some more traditional holiday decor, find a real wreath and hang it on your door. Natural decor is more affordable than the holiday decor you’ll find at the department store, and it looks better too. Experiment with different plants and flowers to see what works!
We’ve run out of decor tips to share with you this week, residents, but we’ll be back in one week with another brand new blog!
