First up on our list of can’t miss brunch spots is Saint Ann. This restaurant is located in the Harwood District and is consistently rated as having one of Dallas’ best patios. Another neat fact is that before being a restaurant, Saint Ann’s used to be a historic school. The brunch menu is extensive and includes all of the essentials. Choose from a variety of savory benedicts or go for the Strawberry Shortcake French Toast. Everything here is locally sourced and served fresh.  

Brunch is offered Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 am to 3 pm.

Crickles and Co.

What happens when you mix a bakery with all day brunch? You get Crickles and Co.! This family owned business considers itself a brunch bakery and serves breakfast and lunch options all day. That is one restaurant concept we can 100% back. The atmosphere here is casual and laid back, which sometimes we prefer on a Sunday morning.

Everything on their menu is made from scratch and you can taste the difference. Select from breakfast carbs, sammies, and wraps, or freshly baked pastry case. Whatever you decide, it’s going to be delicious.

The Dragonfly

If you’re looking for a classy, high-end brunch experience, then there’s no place better than The Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa. The brunch menu here is smaller than the other places we’ve covered, but that doesn’t mean it’s anything less than delicious. Honey butter and crispy chicken biscuit anyone? If you are looking to dine at The Dragonfly for brunch, we highly recommend making reservations to ensure you get a table.

You might have to wait a few months to enjoy the next amenity on our list, but it will be worth it when you finally do get the chance to put on your bathing suit and jump in the sparkling resort-style pool. Pool season lasts for a while in Dallas, which means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to soak up the sunshine out by the pool. We love this particular amenity because of the comfortable seats out by the pool and the fact that this is a perfect place for residents to meet their neighbors!

Fitness Center with State-of-the-Art Equipment

Last but not least, we have an amenity that aligns with your new year’s resolutions. If you’re trying to get fit, you’ll appreciate the fact that we added a fitness center to our community. It’s a lot easier to work out when you live right above your gym!

There was a lot to choose from, but we’ve managed to whittle the list down to three of the most popular spots in the area.

Hands + Rose Coffee

The first spot on our list takes the whole, “minimalist” thing to the next level. Hands + Rose Coffee only has one table for its customers, and that table sits right in the center of the coffee shop. There’s also a small booth where lucky customers can snag a seat if they’re lucky. Despite the sparse furnishings, we love Hands + Rose coffee for the well-made caffeinated concoctions.

Ascension Coffee

While some coffee shops are cozy and comfortable, Ascension Coffee is more of a light, bright, airy establishment. It’s good for more than just coffee, too. Be sure to come here with an appetite because the lunch menu is filled with some of the best sandwiches and flatbreads in town. If you go here in the afternoon, you can also indulge in some wine. We love Ascension at any time of the day.

Sip Stir Coffee House

One of the coolest things about Sip Stir Coffee House is its crazy cold brew contraption. If you’re not careful, you can get distracted by that thing and end up losing track of time.  Aside from the cold brew, Sip Stir also has gorgeous lattes that come with toppings like marshmallows and chocolate syrup. Give this place a shot next time you feel like wasting some time in a cozy coffee shop, residents!

We’d like to help move the process along, however, which is why we’ve decided to dedicate our first ever blog to the idea of decorating your apartment. Specifically, we’ll be talking about adding holiday decor to your space.

We’ll start by telling you that holiday decor doesn’t have to be all about tinsel and blinking lights. There’s more to the holidays than red ornaments and green trees. Zephyr Bakery Cafe

For old-school diner vibes with contemporary flair, check out Zephyr Bakery Cafe. The atmosphere is hard to describe, but it kind of reminds us of a French bakery as well. You can order up front or sit down and be waited on. Either way, you’ll find that the food is worth every penny.

The most popular meal is the chicken and waffles dish that comes with cinnamon butter, which tastes as delicious as it sounds. If you need a drink to pair with that dish, we recommend ordering the super refreshing pineapple mimosa.

Bailey’s Cafe

The last spot on our list is a little hole in the wall diner that you might miss if you’re not looking for it. Bailey’s Cafe is a family-run restaurant that’s known for its affordable prices, hearty portions and delicious bacon. You can get a couple meals and drinks for less than $20, which is pretty much unheard of in this part of Dallas. While this blog is supposed to be about brunch, we do feel the need to tell you about the lunch specials at Bailey’s Cafe. You can get a soup and sandwich combo for just $3.49. Amazing, right?
